Mike’s a happy boy!

Low Vision Consultant, Mike Palmer on the Gold Coast was contacted by a client having problems with his current hand held electronic magnifier. During the visit to his home, Mike discovered the gentleman was about to turn 100 years old.

The aged device being used, needed to be replaced and Mike offered to assist in the process by engaging the gentleman’s Ophthalmologist in writing a report in application for Veteran’s Affairs to provide the device. Mike jokingly said it would make a nice birthday present.

The application was approved, and on return to the client with the new Electronic Magnifier, the client presented Mike with a Six pack of beers. The surprise was overwhelming. Mike asked his 100 year old client if he still drinks beers, and he responded with “Do I look like a Camel?”. It seem that age is just a number.
