Working Together - Quantum and Guide Dogs NSW / ACT

For Quantum, collaborating with other organisations is important, to share knowledge, and be able to provide the best service to people with vision impairment. For many years we have been working with the different Guide Dogs organisations around Australia.

Recently our consultants in NSW, Nora, Rebecca and Jeff, have enjoyed being part of the Guide Dogs NSW/ACT Blindness and Low Vision Open Days in various locations including Burwood, Canada Bay Shellharbour and Penrith.

These events have been a great opportunity for us to meet with people and show a range of the assistive technology options we have, as well as connecting with the wonderful staff at Guide Dogs.

For people with vision impairment, these events have been a way to learn about Guide Dogs and other services in their local area. Did you know that Guide Dogs have a range of different services including Low Vision Clinics, Orientation and Mobility and Occupational Therapy?

Other ways we have been working with Guide Dogs service providers are joint visits to people’s homes to show technology options and loaning equipment for the Orthoptists and Occupational Therapists to demonstrate.

Thank you to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT for the opportunity to be involved in these events and we look forward to further collaboration.
